BoerBricoleur went on Tour

From Thierry Beaucarne, via the Uilenbos and De Witte Beek towards the Kijfelaar and the Wroeter: this was the route taken by Boer Bricoleur over the North part of Belgium (a network for the self-construction of tools and equipment) in August 2025. In addition to an open workshop, each one also held a discussion round and a convivial social gathering to round off the day.

Open workshop

With an ‘open workshop’ in every province, Boer Bricoleur wanted to give growers the opportunity to come and sample the network’s activities. Although this new concept was not immediately clear to everyone, many growers came along with small repairs, hoes that needed sharpening, or for a short introduction to welding. The idea of ‘working together’ and the fact that this time it was taking place nearby, in their own province, particularly appealed to those present.

‘Social network’
The tour took place in the middle of the harvest season, so every day a dinner was prepared using the products of the host companies, which everyone could join and enjoy while exchanging ideas.
Around 50 growers and farm workers took part in the open workshops and/or networking event. If you would like to share your ideas and needs with the network, please feel free to fill in this questionnaire. Or if you would like to discuss the future of the organization with the Boer Bricoleur team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
